I found this kinda funny. I don’t support one over the other, but if you’ve ever read some of the comments on a social media site you know where I’m coming from.
“I just wasted a minute of my life that I can never get back!!!”
Yeah, that one was always my favorite comment left by the losers who are wasting hours and hours of their life screwing around on these kinds of sites, then complaining about the lost time from a single video.
I got news for you basties… your whole life is a waste of life!
Wow.. I just wasted 5 minutes of my life reading your blog, watching the video, then posting this life-wasting comment. Doh!
Fun little video. The principle may be important than the pitch here. Social media needs to pull itself out of a wilderness of mindless chatter. That begins to happen contributors of posts and comments come with a clear purpose in mind, and a larger strategic context behind the points they make.
This is a great video that makes the point, “You get what you put out.” Online communities and visitors gravitate to the content they want. The question is, who do you want to visit?

Wow, The guy in the DIGG shirt looks EXACTLY like a friend of mine…
I know it’s not him, since he doesn’t even own a computer, but he is adopted…
Maybe a long lost brother?
